About Day 8:

We spent a couple hours outside in the blinding sunshine of Arizona shooting images at the gate to the backyard. When we came in Squid got a long drink of water and then sat on the couch arm next to me. Photographing the beards of our broken (Huxley) and rough (squid) coat Jack Russell Terriers was on my list so I knocked the iso down to 1600 and shot this detail image. It is interesting that some of the images of this series present themselves after the official photo shoot. I blame Nan Goldin.
