I am most closely tied to the abstract expressionist movement, however as a photographer not a painter. My work in abstraction began in 2000 and it continues to develop, evolve and refine as I complete each project. This work has taken me all over the world and each culture or new experience informs the final photographs. My most recent series of 20 images is specific to the city of Phoenix, Arizona and is about my experiences as an unwilling transplant to the desert Southwest. “Phoenix 20″ was created in nearly a year after moving here in July of 2007 and is available as 1/1 works of art, prints, or collect the whole series in the book.
